Whereas the W was actually created in the Middle Ages as a doubling of the V, the double V (Swedish: Dubbel-ve) was regarded until the beginning of the 21st century only as a variation of the letter V. But not as a separate letter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And guess what the reason was! Digitalisation, of course.  The gigantic spread of the word Internet (Swedish: Webb) made this profound change. Who would have thought that digitization could even create letters?<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>And what does that have to do with us?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The example shows in an excellent way how digitization breaks with tradition, strives for change and creates something new.
